Mona Sang is the executive chef of Mona Bella catering, she has worked professionally as a chef in the Chicago area for the past 6 years. She is originally from Cambodia, but came to the United States with her mother and her sister and two brothers as a child. They survived the Khmer Rouge genocide and made a new life in the city of Chicago. Her mother supported her family by working as a private caterer to their local community. Mona credits her mother with the unique taste she has developed in bringing Cambodian cuisine and culture to the United States. After graduating from college, Mona built a family of her own, and then started her career in the food industry with Lettuce Entertain You. Now she is bringing all her experiences forward to launch Mona Bella catering and introduce her unique flavor to the world.

Fresh shredded carrots, toasted rice, cilantro, tofu, crispy tarro roots, lettuce, jicama, and dikon. Dipped in sweet chili fish sauce
Tilapia marinted in ginger, palm sugar,garlic, and galanga. Fried and topped with our signature chili fish sauce, and mango salad. Served with jasmine rice.
Stir fry ramen noodles with garlic, ginger, shredded carrots, cabbage, green onions, beansprout, kroeung, and khmer spices. Choice of steak or chicken.. Topped with roasted peanuts and our signature fish sauce.
Lighly spiced khmer chicken, steamed, and topped with khmer spicy, sweet and sour fish sauce. Served with jasmine rice and fresh veggies.
Minced pork marinated in kroeung, garlic, shallots, and prahok. Simmered in coconut milk and topped with roasted peanuts and cilantro. Served with fresh vegetables and jasmine rice.
New york strip steak marinated in khmer spices and grilled. Dipped in our famous khmer tuk prahok sauce. Served with fresh vegetables and jasmine rice.
Marinated sirloin beef, slow cooked in khmer spices and kroeung, lemongrass, turmeric, galangal, kaffir leaves, celery, heirloom tomatoes and jalapeños. Served with jasmine rice.
Marinated shortribs in kreoung, garlic, shallots, palm sugar, fish sauce and spices. Simmered in curry sweet coconut broth, with fresh pineapple and served with mix herbs and jasmine rice
Shredded green cabbage, carrots, cucumber, basil, red and green peppers, roasted shallots, bean curd noodles, and roasted porkbelly. Tossed with khmer spices, spicy lemon fish sauce, and topped with roasted peanuts and fresh herbs.
Our famous khmer curry, carrots, potatoes, jackfruit, and onions, simmered in our coconut milk curry broth. Served with vermicelli noodles, and topped with fresh herbs and roasted peanuts.
Shredded papaya and mango tossed with chili lime fish sauce, baby tomato, and topped with fresh basil, roasted candied peanuts, and dried shrimp.
Baby bananas fried until golden brown, topped with powder sugar and served with ginger syrup.
Rice flour, roasted mung bean, coconut milk. Topped with shredded coconut and coconut powder sugar.
Coconut rice stuffed with sweet baby bananas, wrapped in banana leaves, and topped with shredded coconut.
